Meitu × Gucci Beauty AR Filter
Overview
This project was an extension of the MeituGenius project.
We were approached by Gucci Beauty APAC’s agency in Hong Kong to collaborate on an AR filter project, which adapted from its Instagram filter to a Meitu filter for the Asian market. It was part of the Gucci Beauty campaign in September 2019. The filter was available on the Meitu app for two weeks (>43K downloads).
The filter simulated three makeup effects featuring the Gucci Lipstick Collection by Alessandro Michele, allowing users to virtually try on new makeup looks on their smartphones in real-time.
